Botswana's new corporate tax intelligence system

The Department of Taxes in Botswana, which is responsible for the assessment and collection of income tax, has introduced a new computer system to monitor the economic activities of companies operating within its jurisdiction. This paper outlines the events that led to the development of the new computer system and describes the way it operates.
