IBFD Frans Vanistendael Award for International Tax Law
Each year, IBFD presents the esteemed Frans Vanistendael Award, an accolade that champions exceptional scientific research. A panel of international experts meticulously assesses the submitted publications, meticulously selecting the work that demonstrates the most outstanding contribution to the advancement of international tax law.

GTTC Universities Project Competition
The competition serves as a platform to encourage and support research in international tax law among university students. Teams from institutions in 20-30 countries embark on a journey of in-depth research focused on a specific tax topic. The team that excels in delivering outstanding research results is honored with a prestigious IBFD award.

IBFD-KU Leuven Moot Court Competition
In collaboration with the University of Leuven, IBFD organizes the annual European and International Tax Moot Court Competition. This unique competition offers students from across the globe a valuable opportunity to hone their presentation and debating skills, contributing to their professional development in the realm of European and international tax law.
Research Student Meetings
We facilitate gatherings like the Doctoral Meeting of Researchers in International Taxation (DocMIT) and the Postdoctoral International Tax Forum (PITF). These meetings provide researchers with the opportunity to discuss their current projects with leading academics and peers from around the world. International Events
We actively participate in events such as the International Conference on Taxpayer Rights, where we explore the role of taxpayers' rights in effective tax administration. This conference serves as a platform connecting government officials, scholars, and practitioners from around the world.
We also support the EATLP Annual Congress, a world-class event that focuses on specific topics within the field of tax law, organized by the European Association of Tax Law Professors and held in different cities each year.
