New UK CFC Rules

Following six years of consultations, the new UK controlled foreign company rules have finally been enacted as part of Finance Act 2012. The reforms took effect on 1 January 2013 and are intended to make the United Kingdom’s tax system competitive and encourage international businesses to base their headquarters and business operations in the United Kingdom.
